One of the first companies in Michigan to do this is Essbe, a jewelry company based in Metro Detroit. Founded in 2017, Essbe is owned and operated by Sarah Brithinee. Essbe jewelry offers a wide range of ready-to-wear jewelry including handmade bracelets, necklaces, earrings, rings, and permanent jewelry. As part of their expansion, they opened their first permanent jewelry store in Royal Oak, Michigan. Just south of downtown, it can be found on South Washington on the first floor of The Roy Apartment building. The Essbe permanent jewelry storefront has become a popular destination for those looking for unique jewelry pieces that put quality first. The female-owned & operated team members take pride in providing excellent customer service and the store has become an integral part of the Royal Oak community.
In response to the growth and interest in permanent jewelry in Royal Oak, Sarah started brainstorming and dreaming of a second permanent jewelry store in Metro Detroit. As Sarah researched towns for months, one kept catching her eye. "Downtown Rochester is so full of life. We really wanted our 2nd location to be in a very walkable area where we’d be immersed in the community and our new spot is right in the middle of downtown surrounded by other amazing businesses."
With restaurants, cute boutiques, and fun gifts, Rochester, Michigan is the perfect walkable town. The idea of incorporating permanent jewelry into the town's existing activities made sense to Sarah. "There are so many things that make this a perfect spot! The community puts on a ton of events that I’m really excited to be a part of and I also can’t wait to build our own community and pour into the customers that walk through our doors." Sarah wants to create a place where customers can come and find something meaningful and special. She wants to create an experience that is more than just a purchase, but a true connection. She is confident that Rochester is the perfect place to make that dream a reality!
