Permanent Jewelry Care
Permanent jewelry is designed to stay on 24/7 but just like anything you wear every day, it can benefit from a little love.
Keep it shining:
- Use a soft polishing cloth to gently wipe your chain every couple of weeks.
- For a deeper clean, mix mild soap with warm water and gently scrub with a soft brush. Rinse and pat dry.
- Harsh chemicals like chlorine (think pools or hot tubs), strong cleaning products, and even some beauty products that contain sulfur or self-tanners can dull or damage your jewelry over time. But no need to worry, make sure after exposure to wash the chain with a mild soap and use a polishing cloth.
Bonus tip: Just because it’s permanent doesn’t mean it’s invincible! Check in on your piece now and then to make sure everything looks secure.
Beaded Bracelet + Ready-to-Wear Jewelry Care
Our beaded bracelets and other ready-to-wear styles are meant to be worn often and loved always but they do need a little TLC.
How to store:
- Keep your jewelry in a dry, cool place (we love a small pouch or a lined jewelry box).
- Avoid tossing pieces loose in your bag or drawer where they might scratch or tangle.
Water + beaded jewelry:
- While many of our beads are water-resistant, it's best to take them off before swimming, showering, or sweating a ton. If you do, no need to worry, just make sure you clean & dry them to avoid the chemicals from sitting on the metal.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture to help preserve the integrity of the elastic and any metal accents.
Cleaning basics:
Gently wipe beads with a soft, damp cloth. For metal parts, a dry polishing cloth is your best friend.
